Abstract: 

IN THIS PAPER, WE INTRODUCE THE NOTION OF (SEMI) TOPOLOGICAL BCC-ALGEBRAS AND DERIVE HERE CONDITIONS THAT IMPLY A BCC-ALGEBRA TO BE A (SEMI) TOPOLOGICAL BCCALGEBRA. WE PROVE THAT FOR EACH CARDINAL NUMBER THERE IS AT LEAST A (SEMI) TOPOLOGICAL BCC-ALGEBRA OF ORDER. ALSO WE STUDY SEPARATION AXIOMS ON (SEMI) TOPOLOGICAL BCCALGEBRAS AND SHOW THAT FOR ANY INFINITE CARDINAL NUMBER THERE IS A HAUSDORFF (SEMI) TOPOLOGICAL BCC-ALGEBRA OF ORDER WITH NONTRIVIAL TOPOLOGY.

Abstract: 

With the development of science and technology, the importance of determining the efficiency and also increasing the efficiency are of the major issues for the managers and investors. Integrating the companies is quite common in the real world. Deciding on integrating the companies to increase the efficiency, improving the production process and also integrating multiple one-purpose companies to make one multi-purpose company is among the most important issues in economic management. In this study, DEA MODELs are used to integrate DMUs to make one multi-purpose DMU, which is more economical. Also this has been done using fuzzy data. Therefore, it can be very useful for the managers in the economic field.

Abstract: 

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is recognized as a robust analytical tool extensively utilized in measuring the relative e ciency of a group of Decision Making Units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. The DEA MODELs require inputs and outputs equipped with precise information. However in real-world situations inputs and outputs may be unstable and complicated thus unable to be accurately measured. This problem resulted in the investigation of uncertain DEA MODELs. The BCC MODEL is studied in this paper in an uncertain environment where uncertain inputs and outputs were belief degree-based uncertainty useful for the cases for which no historical information of an uncertain event is available. As the solution method the uncertain BCC MODEL was converted to a crisp form using two approaches of expected value method (EV) and expected value and chance-constrained method (EVCC) separately. Finally, an applied example regarding the Iranian Banking system is presented to document the proposed MODELs.

Abstract: 

In this work, the temperature dependence of extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) of the body-centered cubic crystals was investigated based on the anharmonic correlated Einstein MODEL using the classical statistical theory. The oscillation of the anharmonic EXAFS spectra presented in terms of the cumulant expansion up to the fourth order. Here, the thermodynamic parameters of a system are derived from an anharmonic effective potential that has taken into account the influence of all nearest neighbors of absorbing and backscattering atoms. Analytical expressions of the first four EXAFS cumulants are obtained in simple forms of temperature or parallel mean-square relative displacement. The numerical results for crystalline molybdenum in the temperature range from 0 to 900 K are found to be in good agreement with those obtained using the other theoretical methods and experiments at various temperatures. The analytical results for the contributions of the cumulants to the amplitude reduction and phase shift of the EXAFS oscillation discover the role and meaning of highorder cumulants in analyzing the temperature dependence of the EXAFS spectra.

AMS (MOS) OPERATION RESEARCH DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (DEA) IS A MATHEMATICAL PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUE, WHICH IS USED TO EVALUATE RELATIVE EFFICIENCY OF DECISION MAKING UNITS (DMUS) AND HAS BEEN PROPOSED BY CHARNES ET AL. (1978). THIS TECHNIQUE HAS BEEN EXTENDED BY BANKER ET AL. (BCC MODEL, 1984). IN THE CCR MODEL, FOR EACH DMU IS FORMED THE VIRTUAL INPUT AND OUTPUT BY WEIGHTS VI (I=1, 2, ..., M) AND UR (R=1, 2, ..., S). THESE WEIGHTS ARE DERIVED FROM THE DATA INSTEAD OF BEING FIXED IN ADVANCE. TO EACH DMU IS ASSIGNED A BEST SET OF WEIGHTS WITH VALUES THAT MAY VARY FROM ONE DMU TO ANOTHER.

Abstract: 

Introduction: BCC (basal cell carcinoma) is the most common malignant neoplasm of the skin. Ultra-violet ray is the most important risk factor for it. The purpose of this study is to investigate the epidemiologic features and the effect of diverse variables on each other. Material and Methods: This descriptive study from 1982 to 2002 was done in skin and pathology department of Mashhad Imam Reza hospital. 1844 patients with BCC are evaluated. Patients information including age, sex, localization and job was collected in forms. Collected data were processed by descriptive statistics, frequency tables and analytical statistics. Results: 1844 BCC cases with an age range (mean ± 2SD) of 58 ± 28years and a man to women ratio of about 1.46 to 1 were found which shows a meaningful difference (p<0.001) between the mean age of men (60 years) and women (55 year) . The most prevalent site of involvement are nose, face, periorbital and scalp regions respectively.%85of patients are in age range of 40 to 79 years. Children (less than 15 years) constitute only %0/23 of cases. It seems that in both sex by increasing the age there is a reduction in the relative prevalence of BCC in scalp and ear regions and an increment in lip and nose areas. Women have a meaningful (p<0.001) lower relative prevalence in ear and neck sites. Also in this study chest, shoulder, and back (non sun-exposed areas) constitute only about % 1 of all BCC cases which shows a great difference with other references (about %15). A clear correlation was not found between job and involved region of the skin. Conclusion: Higher prevalence of BCC and higher rate of scalp and ear skin involvement in men may be due to occupational factors and special style of clothing in women. Much less relative involvement of non-sun exposed areas both in men and women may also be a reflection of social habits and daily clothing style.

Abstract: 

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) cannot provide adequate discrimination among efficient decision making units (DMUs). To discriminate these efficient DMUs is an interesting research subject. The purpose of this paper is to develop the mix integer linear MODEL which was proposed by Foroughi (Foroughi A.A. A new mixed integer linear MODEL for selecting the best decision making units in data envelopment analysis. Computers & Industrial Engineering 60 (2011) 550-554) to present new alternative mix integer programming DEA (MIP-DEA) MODELs which can be used to improve discrimination power of DEA and select the most BCC- efficient decision making unit (DMU). We will demonstrate that proposed MODEL is able to select DMU throughout the real data sets.
